Projects and Advocacies

Among Congresswoman Ivy Arago’s advocacies include women empowerment, youth protection, quality education, livelihood and employment security and health care improvement. Fulfillment of these personal advocacies are made possible by constant social service projects.

Health


Congresswoman Ivy Arago has been consistently allotting a huge portion of the Priority Development Assistance Fund for health fund availability in specialty hospitals as well as government hospitals in the district. Said medical institutions are as follows: Philippine General Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Orthopedic Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and San Pablo City District Hospital, Laguna Provincial Hospital, Nagcarlan District Hospital and Pagamutang Pangmasa ng Bay, Laguna.

Also a testimony of Congresswoman’s promise of health improvement in the district is her regular Dental and Medical Missions. Congresswoman Ivy’s medical team treat all patients and even give them medicines to take home. During the summer break, Oplan Tuli is a top priority. Surgical Missions courtesy of kind-hearted Fil-Am doctors all the way from the United States are also implemented.

Education


Congresswoman Ivy Arago strongly believes in the power of learning. And as a firm advocate of quality education, scholarships are available to deserving students of the district. To date, Congresswoman Ivy has 1,345 college scholars. She has also been giving financial assistance to elementary and high school students for their compulsory fees upon enrollment. Her Mobile Library has also been roving far-flung barangays in the district to further computer literacy and to improve reading, listening and speaking skills of her young constituents.

Employment


Congresswoman Ivy Arago understands that without adequate employment opportunities, livelihood will perennially be a problem. To combat unemployment, regular Job Fairs are sponsored by Congresswoman Ivy. POEA-endorsed companies that offer overseas and local employment are in partnership with Congresswoman Ivy in the hopes of providing ample job opportunities for the working class constituents of the district.

Social Services


All concerns of Congresswoman Ivy Arago’s constituents are gladly entertained on her People’s Day every Sunday at the Villa Evanzueda in San Pablo City. Young and old, men and women, those in service and ordinary citizens… people from all walks of life flock to directly meet with Congresswoman Ivy. Some have concerns to speak of, others simply to give thanks to the hard-working representative.
